Advantages of a plate and frame unit is the overall surface area available for the heat transfer process. Plate & Frame heat exchangers have a series of metal plates stacked together to transfer heat between two fluids. These units are available in Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel permanent welded plates or removable gasketed plates. Sizing is determined per flow rate and required temperature range.
